![]() Improved Platform Stability or Improved Motor. Some Overlocks support heat build-up like Burning Hell, which causes Gunner to violently vent all the build-up heat in front of him for extra damage but causes the gun to gain heat faster.Īs for the Minigun weapons setups on Gunner in Deep Rock Galactic, we recommend primarily recommend taking these mods for non-overclock builds: Unlike the rest of Gunner’s primary guns, this weapon draws directly from your ammo reserves and requires no reloading the only thing you must manage is overheating the gun. The spread of the Lead Storm lowers with sustained fire but overheats after a while. Like any minigun, this massive weapon has a little spin-up time and slows you down while firing. The Lead storm minigun Is the first weapon any player picking Gunner will have access to. “Lead Storm” Powered MinigunĪll three of Gunner’s primary weapons in Deep Rock Galactic are considered heavy weapons since this class’ theming brings the team’s biggest weapon. If you equip an Overclock that drastically changes its stats, we recommend changing a few mods to compensate for some downsides. Note: Before we dive into each primary weapon for Gunner, it’s worth noting that Overclocks suggest different adjustments to mods to utilize the stat changes that overclocks bring. Gunner has three different primary weapons in Deep Rock Galactic: Each class brings different strengths and team utility to every mission, and Gunner brings heavy offense and defensive utility to combat swarms of bugs on Hoxxus. ![]() Gunner is the most straightforward class but still has a handful of unique primary weapons that set him apart from the other dwarfs. For example, I personally like the cluster grenades best, but I would never say to avoid either of the other options because all three are good.Gunner is one of the four playable Dwarfs in Deep Rock Galactic. For resource management, the dotted bar across the bottom shows you your progress and where the +5 health upgrades are so you can better decide when you want to buy the mods you won't use.įor the rest of it the options are largely independent and viable, so take whatever sounds most useful to you. That means you absolutely want to buy all the armor upgrades including the ones you don't plan to use because unlocking all of them makes you more durable even though it's not possible to purchase all of them. As you buy upgrades, it passively increases your health. If you like the idea of a pocket sniper rifle this is the build for you, but you can also make it a pocket rocket launcher or a mobile gunslinger weapon if that's more your style.įourth, there's a game mechanic on the armor that's easy to miss. I personally use it mostly as a pocket sniper rifle, so my pre-overclock build was all about damage (straight damage on tiers 2 and 4, hollow point rounds on tier 3 to crit harder, and neurotoxin coating on tier 5 for a damage over time) plus single-shot accuracy from perfect weight balance (tier 1). Third, for the revolver there are a lot of directions you can take it so it's very much up to you. Once you get comfortable with the game you can try out some other options if you want, but this is a good "shoot it in the face" build that should be easy to start with. The others are very much personal preference, but I was running oversized drum (tier 2, extra ammo) and variable chamber pressure (tier 4, damage at max rate of fire) in the other slots before I found an overclock for it. ![]() Blowthrough rounds (tier 3, rounds pierce the first target to potentially hit the one behind it) are also important on higher difficulty levels, but hardened rounds can work better on lower difficulties where there aren't enough targets to need blowthrough rounds and praetorian armor can be annoying. Second, for the minigun, the mods I'd say are essential starting out are improved platform stability (tier 1 accuracy mod) and cold as the grave (tier 5 mod, cools on kills). The autocannon really needs the carpet bomber overclock to be worthwhile so don't waste your time on it until you find that, and the BRT is in a bad place balance-wise right now so don't worry about it until the next round of weapon balance changes. ![]() There is no best build, but there are a few general pointers.įirst, go with minigun and revolver. ![]()
